Veronica Woodruff
Veronica Woodruff has a background in environmental science and a Master of Arts in Leadership. She is based in Pemberton, BC, on the traditional territory of the Lil’wat Nation. Through her career, she has led initiatives across government, non-profits, academia, and industry. She is an entrepreneur and contributes often to several non-profit organizations. She is faculty at British Columbia Institute of Technology in the Fish, Wildlife Recreation Program. Veronica is known for her compelling talks on a wide-range of nature-based topics ranging from natural hazard risk to wildlife management to managing the balance of recreational culture with environmental protection.
Veronica’s passion is connecting people to nature. Her superpower is translating complex research into clear, compelling stories—whether through writing, public speaking, or advocacy. While she has contributed to various publications over the years, Blind Drunk is her first book.
